Nur's death
Tolay Nur Pasha was a vizier of Sultan Bayezid II of Turkey, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, with links to the Byzantine faction of the court and the Templar Order. Pasha sided with the Byzantines in their clashes with the Ottomans, as he was a member of the Byzantine resistance that was funded by Manuel Palaiologos. Tolay Nur Pasha was assassinated by a Renegade mercenary loyal to the guild of Assassins in the city, led by Yusuf Tazim, in 1511. The renegade climbed a building and grabbed Pasha by the belt before pulling him off the edge of the building and letting him fall to his death. Nur's death was ignored by the Ottoman government, which was too busy dealing with the civil war between the many factions opposing each other over the succession to the sick Bayezid II.
