Tisander (died 1236 BC) was the son of Jason and Medea, and the brother of Alcimenes. He was cared for by the nanny Trophos and the tutor Paidagogos, and his mother came to hate her two sons due to Jason's intention to remarry to Corinthian princess Glauce. In 1236 BC, Medea had her sons present Glauce with a poisoned robe, which set her on fire, killing both her and her father Creon of Corinth (who tried to douse the flames). She then proceeded to put her sons to sleep and stab them with daggers before setting their house on fire. Medea then fled to Athens to start a new life.
