Timariot Tunga of Maragheh (22 May 1048-22 December 1079) was a general of the Seljuk Empire. He was succeeded by Timariot Balaban of Maragheh.
Biography[]
Tunga was born on 22 May 1048, and he became a commander of the Seljuk Empire during Malik Shah's campaign against the Byzantine Empire. Tunga was one of the commanders at the Battle of Ancyra, but he died of the slow fever on 22 December 1079 before the battle was over.
