Tim Powell (1838-1884) was the Sheriff of Hope, Texas until his death in 1884. He was active during the Wild West era. He was murdered in 1884 by a cowboy who was working for the evil saloon owner, Clyde Forrester, who started a riot in town. Reverend Ray McCall avenged Powell's death by killing all of those responsible for Powell's murder.
