Tianyou Zhao was a Chinese-Japanese crime boss and the leader of the Yokohama Liumang triad from 2009 to 2019, preceding Seonhee.
Biography[]
Tianyou Zhao was born in Yokohama, Japan to a family of Chinese citizens, and he succeeded his father as leader of the Yokohama Liumang in 2009, even though he preferred cooking to crime. Zhao became close to Akira Mabuchi, whom he viewed as a brother. Zhao continued his father's alliance with the other "Ijin Three" syndicates and LDP political boss Yutaka Ogikubo, participating in the Ijin Three's counterfeiting syndicate. As the rank-and-file of the three syndicates were left unaware of their leaders' secret collusion, the ambitious Mabuchi mistook Zhao's lack of aggression towards the other gangs as being the result of weakness. Although the Liumang's elders warned Zhao that Mabuchi would be likely to betray the Liumang, Zhao begged them to leave Mabuchi alone.
In 2019, Mabuchi secretly arranged for a war to break out with the Seiryu-kai after framing Ichiban Kasuga and his associates as being Seiryu Clan agents in the aftermath of the destruction of the Yokohama Trading Company warehouse. The Seiryu-kai captain Mamoru Takabe attempted to assassinate Zhao in retaliation for the murder of two Seiryu Clan yakuza in the street, but Kasuga, freed from Mabuchi's captivity by Yeonsu Kim, warned Takabe and Zhao that the war was part of Mabuchi's scheme to seize control of Yokohama for himself. He defeated Takabe after the latter refused to put aside his desire for vengeance, and Zhao held Takabe captive until the Geomijul intelligence service proved that Mabuchi had conspired against Zhao. By then, it was too late, as Mabuchi and the Omi Alliance captured Zhao at his Qing Jin restaurant and tortured him. Kasuga and his friends eventually rescued Zhao and defeated his captors, enabling Zhao to exile Mabuchi before resigning as leader of the Liumang, which he had join forces with Seonhee's Geomijul. Zhao would assist Kasuga with his battles against Tokyo governor Ryo Aoki and the Tokyo Omi Alliance, and he also identified the assassin "Mirror Face" as he arrived in Yokohama to kill Jo Sawashiro.
