Thrasyllos the Fearful (died 424 BC) was a Persian mercenary who was active during the Peloponnesian War.
Biography[]
Thrasyllos the Fearful promised himself that he'd return to his home in Persia before he died. It's said he had nightmares where he could no longer remember the name of the town he was from. Unfortunately his nightmares became reality, and he never made it back.
In 424 BC, Athens hired Thrasyllos to serve as their champion at the Battle of Elinion in Pephka. During the ensuing battle, Thrasyllos was slain by the Spartan mercenary Kassandra.
