Biography[]
Thors Snorresson was born in Jomsborg, Poland to a Norse family, and he became a feared Jomsviking warrior, nicknamed "the Troll of Jom". He fought at the Battle of Hjorungavagr in 986 and faked his drowning death after becoming disillusioned with violence, and he left Jomsborg with his wife Helga and son Thorfinn and settled on Iceland. He was later discovered to be alive and forced to return to the battlefield, but, before he could do so, his comrade Floki had Askeladd assassinate him to ensure that he would not be able to prevent his grandson Baldr from becoming the new Jomsviking chief.
