
Thomas Updegraff (3 April 1834-4 October 1910) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-IO 3) from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1883 (succeeding Theodore Weld Burdick and preceding David B. Henderson) and from IO-4 from 4 March 1893 to 3 March 1899 (succeeding Walter H. Butler and preceding Gilbert N. Haugen).
Biography[]
Thomas Updegraff was born in Tioga County, Pennsylvania in 1834, and he served as clerk of the district court of Clayton County, Iowa from 1856 to 1860. He became a lawyer in McGregor in 1860, and he served in the State House in 1878 and in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1883 and from 1893 to 1899. He died in McGregor in 1910.
