Thomas Tufton, 6th Earl of Thanet (30 August 1644 – 30 July 1729) was the Tory MP for Appleby from 1668 to 1679. The son of John Tufton, 2nd Earl of Thanet, he succeeded his brother Richard Tufton, 5th Earl of Thanet and served as hereditary High Sheriff of Westmorland from 1684 to 1729.
