
Thomas Stephen Kenan (26 February 1771 – 22 October 1843) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 5) from 1805 to 1811, succeeding James Gillespie and preceding William R. King.
Biography[]
Thomas Stephen Kenan was born in Kenansville, North Carolina in 1771, the son of general James Kenan. He served in the House of Commons and the State Senate before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1805 to 1811, and he moved to Selma, Alabama in 1811 and became a plantation owner and served in the State House for several years before dying in 1843.
