Thomas Montague Gunter (18 September 1826-12 January 1904) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-AR 3) from 16 June 1874 to 3 March 1875 (interrupting William W. Wilshire's terms) and AR-4 from 4 March 1875 to 3 March 1883 (preceding Samuel W. Peel).

Biography[]

Thomas Montague Gunter was born in McMinnville, Warren County, Tennessee in 1826, and he became a lawyer in 1853. He served as a Confederate States Army colonel during the American Civil War, as a judge from 1866 to 1868, and in the US House of Representatives from 1874 to 1883. He died in 1904.
