Thomas Lee (28 November 1780 – 2 November 1856) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NJ) from 1833 to 1837, succeeding Lewis Condict and preceding John P.B. Maxwell.

Biography[]

Thomas Lee was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1780, and he later moved to Maurice River Township in Cumberland County, New Jersey in 1798. He became a merchant, shipbuilder, and landowner, and he served as a judge on the Court of Common Pleas from 1813 to 1815, in the General Assembly from 1814 to 1815, and as Postmaster of Port Elizabeth from 1818 to 1833 and from 1846 to 1849, and in the US House of Representatives from 1833 to 1837. He died in 1856.
