Thomas Laurens Jones

Thomas Laurens Jones (22 January 1819-20 June 1887) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-KY 6) from 4 March 1867 to 3 March 1871 (succeeding Andrew H. Ward and preceding William Evans Arthur) and 4 March 1875 to 3 March 1877 (succeding Arthur and preceding John G. Carlisle).

Biography[]

Thomas Laurens Jones was born in White Oak, North Carolina in 1819, and he became a lawyer in Newport, Kentucky in 1849. He served in the State House in 1853 to 1855 and in the US House of Representatives from 1867 to 1871 and from 1875 to 1877, and he died in 1887.
