Thomas James Robertson (3 August 1823-13 October 1897) was a Republican US Senator from South Carolina from 15 July 1868 to 4 March 1877, succeeding James Chesnut Jr. and preceding Matthew Butler.

Thomas James Robertson was born in Winnsboro, South Carolina in 1823, and he engaged in planting before attending the 1865 constitutional convention. He served as a Republican US Senator from 1868 until his retirement in 1877, and he died in 1897.
