
Thomas Alexander Marshall (15 January 1794-17 April 1871) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-KY 2) from 4 March 1831 to 3 March 1833 (succeeding Nicholas D. Coleman and preceding Albert Gallatin Hawes) and from KY-12 from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835 (succeeding Chittenden Lyon and preceding John Chambers). Born near Versailles, he practiced law in Frankfort and Paris before serving in the state house from 1827 to 1828, in Congress, as a state appeals judge from 1835 to 1856, in the state house in 1863, and as a court of appeals chief justice from 1866 to 1867.
