Theopropides

Theopropides was the High Priest of Serapis at the Sarapeion of Karanis during the 1st century BC. Theopropides was an ignorant man who looked down on the native Egyptians, and, in 48 BC, the Cult of Wadjet murdered several temple acolytes and public figures in an anti-Greek campaign. They later kidnapped Theopropides at his villa, but the medjay Bayek slew their leader Miltiadis Elitsis and rescued Theopropides. Even then, Theopropides decried the Egyptians as demons, and Bayek reminded Theopropides that it was an Egyptian who saved him.
