Theobald Butler, 3rd Chief Butler of Ireland (1224-26 December 1248) was Chief Butler of Ireland from 1230 to 1248, succeeding Theobald le Botiller, 2nd Chief Butler of Ireland and preceding Theobald Butler, 4th Chief Butler of Ireland.
Biography[]
Theobald Butler was born in 1224, the son of Theobald le Botiller, 2nd Chief Butler of Ireland. Butler served as Justiciar of Ireland in 1247 and supported King Henry III of England during his wars against the rebellious barons, and he died at Arklow, County Wicklow in 1248.
