Thegn Holt (born 828) was a Mercian thegn from Oxfordshire who participated in Geadric's rebellion against Lady Eadwyn in 874 AD. He and fellow thegns Brant, Sherwin, and Octe pledged to Geadric, leading to their arrests and show trials at the Leah Villa. They were all rescued by the Norwegian Viking Eivor, who killed the guards and rescued them from their planned public executions. In gratitude, Holt helped Eivor, his adoptive brother Sigurd Styrbjornson, and Hidden Ones member Basim ibn Ishaq find the heretic Fulke, who was imprisoned at St. Albans monastery in Hertfordshire.
