The Orphans were a low-level street gang from the Tremont neighborhood of The Bronx, New York City. It existed during the 1970s, but it was off the map, as they were a bunch of unorganized lowlifes with a gang strength of 30. In 1979, they got into a fight with The Warriors gang after a woman named Mercy provoked them into demanding that The Warriors take off their jackets and return home as civilians; the Warriors threw a Molotov cocktail at The Orphans' car to distract them as they fled.
