The Marquis Cornwallis

The Marquis Cornwallis is a large, one-bar pub located on Marchmont Street in Bloomsbury, London Borough of Camden, England. The pub was founded in 1804 and almost certainly named for Charles Cornwallis, a British aristocrat and British Army general who was best-known for his service in the American Revolutionary War (including at the decisive Siege of Yorktown in 1781) and in Ireland and India during the Irish Rebellion of 1798 and the British conquest of India.
