The Greens - The Green Alternative, also known as Die Gruenen, was a green political party in Austria that was founded in 1986. The party supported focusing on ecological issues, environmental protection, minority rights, socio-ecological tax reform, direct democracy, feminism, and self-determination. As of the 2013 federal elections, the party had never been in government, always staying in opposition.
