The Castle was an illegal adult theme park located on the bed of a large container ship anchored in international waters. The Castle was created by the Omi Alliance yakuza clan with money scammed out of an Osaka entertainment company (incidentally the one that sponsored Akame's short-lived singing career), and an old foreign vessel was transformed into a hedonistic heaven for VIPs who desired to explore their taboo sexual fantasies and enjoy its casino, gambling den, cabaret club, boutique, and coliseum. The yakuza built a full-scape replica of Osaka Castle on the ship, and, by the late 2010s, Kijin-kai boss Homare Nishitani III owned and operated the ship from his palace at the castle. The ship was populated by slave laborers who tended to be victims of crippling debt who traveled to the castle for one last attempt to make money through high-stakes cambling, and the coliseum was manned by athletes, boxing champions, Olympic gold medalists, renowned hitmen, and martial arts legends who fought for large amounts of money. The various families of the Omi Alliance took turns hosting the Coliseum each night, making them billions of yen. In 2019, as part of Omi acting chairman Masaru Watase's bid to eliminate Nishitani to prevent him from opposing the looming "Great Dissolution", Kazuma Kiryu and Yuki Tsuruno hijacked the ship and leaked its existence to the news through the Daidoji Faction's connections, luring Nishitani out to confront Kiryu in person. After Nishitani's downfall, the power vacuum was briefly filled by the "Four Kings of the Coliseum", who were, in turn, defeated by Kiryu.
