Thaisen Lindenmeyer (1270-1321) was a Komtur of the Knights Teutonic.
Biography[]
Lindenmeyer was from Cologne in Westphalia, in the Holy Roman Empire. He was enlisted in the upper echelon of the Knights Teutonic after his superiors noticed his skills and potential, and in 1320, he proposed an invasion of the Livonians. En route, his 14,500 troops harassed the local Poles, so baron Sofroniusz Kukulski of Grajewo mustered 14,500 woodsmen and bested him in combat in the Battle of Grajewo. Both sides suffered the loss of their generals, with Lindenmeyer struck down in combat with Polish woodsmen.
