Thadiyantavide Nazeer was an Indian jihadist and Lashkar-e-Taiba leader. In 2008, Nazeer masterminded bombings in Bengaluru that killed 1 and injured 20; he was convicted in 2011. While at the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, he radicalized fellow prisoners Syed Suhel Khan, Mohammed Umar, Zahid Tabrez, Syed Mudassir Pasha, and Mohammed Faisal. On 19 July 2023, Nazir's acolytes were arrested before they could carry out a new spree of attacks.
