Teruzumi Akashi (1566-1618) was a retainer of Naoie Ukita and a strategist of Hideie Ukita. Fighting alongside Hideie in the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 against Masanori Fukushima's Tokugawa army, and escaped the defeat. He again escaped the Siege of Osaka in 1615, after being saved by Yukimura Sanada, and he died while being a wanted man; he did not commit suicide because he was a Christian.
