Teodor Teodorov

Teodor Ivanov Teodorov (8 April 1859-5 August 1924) was Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 28 November 1918 to 8 October 1919, succeeding Aleksandar Malinov and preceding Aleksandar Stamboliyski.

Biography[]

Teodor Teodorov was born in Elena, Ottoman Bulgaria in 1859. He became a legal expert before serving as Finance Minister of Bulgaria from 1897 to 1899 and from 1911 to 1913, and as Prime Minister from 1918 to 1919. He struggled to maintain order in the defeated country following World War I, and he was forced to admit Aleksandar Stamboliyski into the cabinet in 1919 and resign as Prime Minister. He died in 1924.
