Temulun (29 August 922-3 April 949) was the wife of Cao Yuanzhong. She came from a Nestorian Christian Mongol family of low birth, and she married the sister of the Liang Liao duke Cao Yuande. During the Mongolia-Liao War, she and her husband were captured by the forces of Liang Jing, as they lived in Guiyi, a region which had supported his brother Liang Yan against him. In order to punish the once-powerful Cao clan for its treason, Liang Jing had Temulun beheaded first, followed by her husband; their nephew Cao Yi was then castrated at the age of 2.
