The Temple of Hera, also known as the Heraion, was a Hellenic pagan temple in Olympia, Elis, Ancient Greece which was dedicated to the goddess Hera. The temple was erected in 590 BC, and, every four years, the Heraean Games were held to honor Hera in the form of all-female footraces. In the early 4th century AD, it was destroyed by an earthquake.
