Temple of Hephaistos at Athens

The Temple of Hephaistos, also known as the Hephaisteion, was a Hellenic pagan temple located on the Kolonos Agoraios hill above the Agora of Athens in Ancient Greece. It was dedicated to the god Hephaestus and to Athena Ergane, the deities of the forge and fire and crafts and weaving, respectively. The temple was also called the Theseion due to its association with Theseus.
