Teepookana

Teepookana was a small fishing village on the west coast of Tasmania, Australia. Located in the present-day Teepookana Forest Reserve, the village was founded by the fur traders Daniel Pry, Tobin Gibson, and Richard Whitewater, who trekked south from Queenstown to explore the west coast of the island and established a small village in a clearing as they went. Teepookana came to include six houses, a barn, a watchtower, an outpost, an Anglican church, and a small pier, and a few of its settlers went on to found Prytown to the south.
