Tazio Irace (1440 - September 1485) was a man involved with Archbishop Francesco Salviati of Pisa, who was a resident of Venice.
Biography[]
Tazio Irace was a conspirator who had ties to Archbishop Francesco Salviati during the Pazzi Conspiracy of 1476-1480, but after Salviati's death, he hid in Venice. In 1485 Lorenzo de Medici sent Ezio Auditore da Firenze to assassinate him, as he was an affiliate of the House of Pazzi.
Death[]
Ezio tailed a Medici gondolier to a small boat, which he infiltrated silently. He climbed aboard behind Irace and pushed him to his knees before stabbing him through the back of the neck so far that the blade came out the front. Irace's death weakened the Templars in both Florence and Venezia.
