Tang Se-gwang (1897-1933) was a Korean Independence Army fighter. Tang and Sa Myung-woo were assigned to be Captain Yem Sek-jin's subordinates, but Korean rebel leader Kim Koo ordered them to kill their commander if they discovered that he was a spy. One night in Shanghai in 1933, they shot his Japanese handler Sasaki dead, and they planned to arrest their leader. However, Yem shot Tang dead and horrifically wounded Sa, who was believed to be dead. In 1949, Sa avenged Tang by killing Kim.
