
Tametomo Oda (died spring 1545) was a Japanese daimyo who controlled a faction of the Oda clan of Owari Prefecture. Tametmo Oda rebelled against his kinsman Nobuhide Oda in 1545, and he was killed shortly after his defeat at the Battle of Nagoya.
Biography[]
Tametomo Oda was born to the Oda clan of Owari Prefecture in present-day Japan. Tametomo disagreed with the rule of his kinsman Nobuhide Oda and he led a 1545 rebellion against Nobuhide with the assistance of 315 men. He was defeated in battle by Muneyori Takayama at the Battle of Nagoya in spring of 1545, and he was forced to retreat. Shortly after, he and his 60 men were killed in a final battle with the forces of Muneyori and his rebellion was crushed.
