Tall Trees was a region of East Texas, located within the Piney Woods ecoregion. Tall Trees was located east of the Pecos River and west of the Great Plains, and it consisted of redwood forests and mountains. During the 1910s, Dutch van der Linde and his gang of Native Americans were based out of Tall Trees, terrorizing the local region until they were brought down by the BOI and John Marston in 1911.
