Takeoff

Kirshnik Khari Ball (18 June 1994-1 November 2022), known professionally as Takeoff, was an African-American rapper who was a member of the hip-hop trio Migos from 2008 to 2022. Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, he was the nephew of Quavo and the cousin of Offset, and he began rapping with them in 2008. The group released its commercial debut single in 2013 and its first album in 2015, bringing their North Atlanta roots into mainstream music. The group was also reportedly affiliated with the Gangster Disciples gang, throwing up pitchfork, rake, and other GD signs.

At 2:00 AM on 1 November 2022, Takeoff was shot dead at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, ostensibly the victim of a stray bullet fired during an argument between other patrons. Quavo, who was also present during the shooting, was uninjured.
