The Takayama Domain was a feudal domain of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
History[]
Ruled by the Kanamori clan, the Takayama were founded by Tokugawa retainer Nagachika Kanamori in 1586. The domain was located in Hida Province in central Japan and was loyal to the Tokugawa Shogunate, their former masters. During the Boshin War they fought for the Shogunal clans and were defeated.
