Taegwan (Korean: 대관군) is a county in North Pyongyan province in North Korea, formed in 1952.
History[]
Taegwan was once the site of a city built by Northern Wei during their campaign against Goguryeo in Korea, and in 505 CE it was besieged by the Goguryeo army and destroyed. Afterwards, Taegwan became a minor county with a low population, lacking a major city after the Koreans destroyed the Chinese settlement.
