The Syrian Resistance is a Marxist-Leninist and Syrian nationalist militant group which was founded in 2011 by Mihrac Ural. It was founded with the goal of "liberating" Hatay from the Turkish government, and it operated as a clandestine Alawite insurgent cell. In 2015, during the Syrian Civil War, it came to have 2,000 fighters, and it supported the Syrian government from its base in Latakia Governorate.
