The Sword of the Free was a sword rewarded to the champion of the Colosseum in Rome by Julius Caesar. After the champion became the Ianista of Cyrene, the Sword of the Free was stolen in 47 BC by Polymestor, a Thracian gladiator that the Ianista trained.
The Medjay Bayek was recruited by the Ianista to retrieve the sword, rescuing it from the ocean a few days after Polymestor threw it away.
