Susana Diaz

Susana Diaz (18 October 1974-) was the PSOE President of Andalusia from 5 September 2013 to 18 January 2019, succeeding Jose Antonio Grinan and preceding Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla.

Biography[]

Susana Diaz was born in Seville, Andalusia, Spain in 1974, and he became secretary of the Organization of Socialist Youth of Andalusia in 1997. In 1999, she was elected as a Seville city councillor, and she was elected to the Parliament of Andalusia in 2008. In 2013, Diaz was elected President of Andalusia as the PSOE candidate, but, in 2018, her party lost its absolute majority in Andalusia, and the People's Party of Spain, Ciudadanos, and Vox formed an alliance to oust Diaz from power.
