Susan Michie

Susan Michie (June 1955-) was a British academic who served as a professor of health psychology, director of The Centre for Behaviour Change, and head of The Health Psychology Research Group at University College London and an advisor to the British government during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biography[]

Susan Michie was born in London, England in 1955, and she gradated from London University in 1978 and became a clinical psychologist who came to specialize in behavioral change. Michie worked with the Royal Free Hospital before moving to King's College London in 1993 and University College London in 2002, and she became a distinguished academic. Michie was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain before joining its successor, the Communist Party of Britain, and she was a staunch supporter of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and donated £14,000 to Labour under Corbyn's leadership.
