
Sumarlidi Sigurdsson (985-1020) was Jarl of Orkneyar from 1014 to 1020, succeeding Sigurd the Stout and preceding Einar Sigurdsson.
Biography[]
Sumarlidi Sigurdsson was born on Orkney in 985, a son of Sigurd the Stout and the brother of Einar Sigurdsson, Brusi Sigurdsson, and Thorfinn the Mighty. He succeeded his father as Jarl of Orkneyar following his death at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014, and he was a quiet and peaceful man. He died of illness in 1020.
