
Sultan Bakkar of Uqaylid Sultanate (725-) was the sultan of the Uqaylid Sultanate and a vassal of the Abbasid Caliphate.
Biography[]
Bakkar was born in 725 to a family of Sunni Muslim Bedouin, the Uqaylids. He succeeded his father as Sultan of the Uqaylid Sultanate, which ruled over al-Jazira in northeastern Syria as well as parts of northern Iraq under the rule of the Abbasid Caliphate.
