
Sulaiman Ataee (1999-) is an Afghan migrant who, on 31 May 2024, stabbed several people held at an anti-Islam rally in Mannheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, wounding 6 before being shot. Born in Herat, he moved to Germany and settled in Heppenheim. At 11:30 AM on 31 May, he was caught on the event's livestream stabbing far-right speaker Michael Stuerzenberger, several attendees, and a policeman (who later died of his wounds) before being shot once and arrested. On 4 July 2024, he was charged and on 13 February 2025 his trial began. His final verdict will be in autumn 2025.
