Sukkot

Sukkot was a Canaanite city-state located in the Sinai Peninsula of present-day Egypt during the Late Bronze Age. During the Israelites' Exodus from Pi-Ramesses in Egypt in 1491 BC, the Israelites stopped at Sukkot before moving into the Sinai wilderness. During the late 13th century BC, Sukkot was conquered by the future pharaoh Ramesses III.
