The Subaid Emirate was an Arab emirate that existed from 15 January 770. Sheikh Yazid of Tarsos inherited the Addauid Emirate after Emir Abd al-Kadir of Addauid Emirate died in battle with the Byzantine Empire at Koloneia without an heir, and the Subaids took over the remnants of the Addauid Emirate. In the early 770s, the Byzantine Empire reconquered much of Anatolia from the Arabs, weakening the Subaids.
