The Sturmgeschutz III (StuG III) was a medium tank built by Nazi Germany from 1940 to 1945 during World War II, with 10,086 seeing service in the Wehrmacht. However, Syria later used StuG IIIs in the Six-Day War of 1967, using the old German tanks against Israel's United States-supplied tanks.
