Steven D'Antuono

Steven D'Antuono was the Assistant Director of the FBI Washington DC Field Office from 13 October 2020. He joined the FBI in 1996 as a Forensic Accountant and was assigned to the Providence Resident Agency in Rhode Island, taking part in investigations into financial crimes, public corruption, organized crime, drugs, and counterintelligence. He became a Special Agent in 1998, and he investigated white-collar crime and public corruption in Washington DC before becoming a supervisory special agent in 2004, as a teacher at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia from 2004 to 2008, as a public corruption and government fraud squad supervisor from 2008 to 2014, as assistant special agent in charge of the St. Louis field office in 2014, as chief of the Financial Crimes Section of the Criminal Investigative Division (investigating all white-collar crime programs in the FBI), as special agent in charge of the Detroit field office from 2019 to 2020, and then as assistant director of the Washington DC field office in 2020. In January 2021, in the aftermath of the 2021 United States coup d'etat attempt, he worked hand-in-hand with the US Attorney's office and local and national police to arrest and charge multiple individuals who took part in the insurrection, opening over 160 case files.
