
Steve Russell (25 May 1963-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-OK 5) from 3 January 2015 to 3 January 2019, succeeding James Lankford and preceding Kendra Horn.
Biography[]
Steve Russell was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1963, and he was raised in Del City. He served in the US Army from 1985 to 2006, serving in the Kosovo War, the Iraq War, and the Afghanistan War, and rising to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. After he retired from the military as a highly-decorated veteran, and he served in the State Senate from 2009 to 2013 and in the US House of Representatives from 2015. He was a member of the Republican Party, and, in 2018, he lost his seat to Democrat Kendra Horn.
