
Steve Knight (born 17 December 1966) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-CA 25) from 3 January 2015 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Bud McKeon and preceding Katie Hill.
Biography[]
Steve Knight was born on the Edwards Air Force Base in Antelope Valley, California in 1966, and he served in the US Army from 1985 to 1993. He then served for 18 years in the Los Angeles Police Department, and he served on the C.R.A.S.H. team. Knight later served on the Palmdale City Council and represented the north Los Angeles County area in the State Assembly and the State Senate as a Republican Party member. In 2014, he was elected to the US House of Representatives, with jobs and education being his primary focuses. He reluctantly voted for Donald Trump in 2016, and he supported his tax cuts and other programs. In 2018, he was defeated for re-election by Democrat Katie Hill.
